International Conference Brings Together Students, Alumni, and Renowned Experts in Optometry and Ophthalmology
Benediktbeuern, Germany. From September 25 to 28, 2026, Benediktbeuern once again became a gathering place for the international optometry community. As part of the annual alumni and continuing education conference organized by the Aalen Friends of Optometry e.V., students, alumni, researchers, and clinical experts came together for a weekend of professional exchange and networking.
For many years, the event has successfully combined international continuing optometric education (COE), scientific discourse, and a vibrant alumni network. Over time, it has developed into a highly regarded conference within the field of optometry, attracting participants from across Europe, the U.S. and beyond. The meeting provides an exceptional platform for sharing the latest developments in clinical practice, research, and education while fostering international collaboration and professional connections.
Reflecting the high quality of the educational program, the conference was awarded 12 SWISSOPTOM credits and 8 Continuing Optometric Education (COE) credits.
